This test bench performs tests on heating tapes in accordance with Section 5.2.12 of the NF EN 62395-1 standard. It consists of a stainless steel frame incorporating a test area, a fluid-based thermal control circuit, and a power supply system coupled with data acquisition modules.

This test bench automates quality control and endurance testing of heating tapes. LF Technologies designs and manufactures this machine for production facilities and certification laboratories.
The test bench tests six heating tapes in parallel. Each line has its own circuit breaker. An electrical failure in one tape cuts off power to the affected line without interrupting the cycle of the other three lines.
The software controls the thermal chamber to replicate the temperature ramps specified in the technical specifications. The system eliminates the impact of ambient temperature fluctuations in the factory on the measurement of electrical resistance.
The LabVIEW software continuously records temperature, voltage, and current. The measurements are exported directly to a read-only CSV file for archiving and quality control.
The software’s architecture allows for the integration of new test sequences or the modification of temperature limits via the interface, without requiring any changes to the test stand’s mechanical or electrical components.
