Presentation and Use:

The LF Technologies flow meter calibration bench is used to calibrate, verify or adjust flow meters with full traceability. Ideal for industrial maintenance and quality control. This bench ensures performance control, compliance with standards and contributes to reducing operating costs.

Operating principles

  • The flow meter to be calibrated is connected to a hydraulic (or pneumatic) test line.
  • The test fluid (often water) is circulated via a servo pump.
  • A pilot-operated control valve adjusts the flow rate to achieve the desired test levels.
  • A master flow meter (reference standard) is placed in series to compare measurements.
  • The system performs flow rate steps to cover the entire measurement range of the sensor being tested.
  • The embedded software controls the sequences, records the data, calculates the deviations/uncertainties, and generates a calibration report.
  • Compensation systems (temperature, pressure) can be added to ensure accuracy.
