Solution and result
The crash test bench consists of a stainless steel frame topped with a sink. The tested pump body is inserted into a closed circuit through which the test fluid circulates. It is connected to the sink.
A plunging piston is used to decrease the volume of the circuit and increase the pressure. The control is performed based on a measurement from a pressure sensor. The pressure rise stops once the setpoint is reached or when the product is destroyed.
A customized system is designed to ensure high-pressure heating.
The test pressures and temperatures are high. To ensure operator protection in case of product rupture, the machine is equipped with safety measures such as:
- Safety glass cover
- Safety pressure switch
- Thermostats placed along the circuit to prevent overheating
- Emergency stop line
- Level detector
The test bench is equipped with user-friendly and intuitive supervision software, enabling any operator to use the equipment.
