It distributes, through shops and online platforms, DIY and gardening equipment.

The products tested are tools for DIY or gardening (e.g. lawnmowers or hedge trimmers).
Objective
In order to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of the products sold, our client wishes to test them for endurance and durability.
- To build a versatile test fixture to perform endurance and durability tests on a variety of components or product assemblies.
- Define forces, torques or strokes throughout the test and record the measurements for data evaluation.
Problematic issues
Design and manufacture a bench capable of adapting to the multitude of products tested.
Solution and result
The proposed equipment is a control panel integrating an electronic acquisition card, a control PC and a connection board.
On this connection board, it is possible to connect actuators (cylinders, motors) as well as measurement sensors (force, torque, position measurement, etc.).
Thanks to the connected elements, the user can define test cycles according to the product under test. The principles of these tests are to simulate a part of the use of a product (for example: pulling the launcher of a thermal lawnmower) in a repeated way.
It is possible to run several tests simultaneously in order to optimise the bench's operating time.
