High pressure medical pressure regulators for cylinders equipped with a valve.
These devices are used to relieve the pressure of a cylinder or a pressurised gas network, allowing a regulated gas flow to be delivered with pressure limitation.
Objective
Check the pressure regulators in production via a series of tests, mark them with a serial number and ensure the traceability of the checking operations.
Problematic issues
The test bench must be able to test two products simultaneously and independently according to a programmable test procedure including numerous test steps.
The control system must ensure the traceability of the tests to the customer's database system.
Solution and result
LF Technologies has developed a test bench specifically for testing high-pressure medical pressure regulators, allowing numerous tests and measurements to be carried out, such as checking the operation of the valve, measuring outlet pressures, flow rates, torque and leakage.
The bench is equipped with two test stations, which allows the optimisation of the test time with a single operator.
A pneumatic network supplies the test equipment, distributing three different pressures (200 bar, 10 bar and 0 to 10 bar) depending on the measurement to be made.
The test bench is equipped with vertical displacement rotary actuators that allow the flow selector of the valves to be rotated and the driving torque to be measured. The results are recorded in a database and a laser printer produces a test sheet at the end of each cycle.
