The electronic faucet is a self-closing faucet, triggered by an electronic presence sensor.

This device enables to mix two inlets of water (hot and cold water) to obtain a more or less mixed water. Each of the channels (hot and cold water) is equipped with a single faucet.

The flow and temperature regulation of the outlet is therefore carried out by adjusting the cold water inlet flow rate and the hot water inlet flow rate. This device is not equipped with a control system. If supply temperatures or pressures change, the temperature also changes.

Regarding the mixing faucet, the mechanical mixing valve allows to mix hot and cold water and to adjust the output temperature and flow, closing more or less the supplies upstream of the mixture.

On a mechanical mixing valve (also called a single-lever mixer), the shutting device of the power supplies is linked, in other words, a single movement (left or right) allows the temperature to be adjusted. The control lever also adjusts the output flow (bottom-up movement).

These faucets offer the advantage of temperature and flow regulation in a relatively independent and easier way than with a mixer.

These devices are not equipped with a control system. If supply temperatures or pressures change, the temperature also changes.

Mechanical mixers are sometimes equipped with a flow restriction (hard point at opening) and energy saving system (central position = cold water).

A device allowing to regulate the flow rate on a single channel (hot or cold water).

The self-closing faucets make it possible to deliver a constant quantity of water by internal limitation of the water flow time. They are most often controlled by a pushbutton. They can be one-way or equipped with a mixing system upstream of the timer.

The thermostatic mixing valve is a faucet for mixing hot and cold water with automatic temperature control. It consists of a thermostatic cartridge for regulated mixing of hot and cold water and an element of the mixed outlet flow control downstream of the mixture.

It has two separate controls, one for temperature and one for flow.

The temperature regulation is ensured by a thermostatic cartridge whose thermostatic element (which measures the mixture temperature) automatically actuates the adjustment of the hot and cold water proportion.

Thanks to this regulation, the mixed water is at constant temperature whatever the conditions of supply (pressure, hot and cold water temperature) and output (flow rate control). Furthermore, it provides the antiscald safety function in the event of the cold water supply failure.

It can be equipped with a flow and temperature limit button.
