FUNCTIONALITY
The mobile trolley allows the transport and positioning of the product on the different modules of a manufacturing, assembly or test line.
TECHNOLOGY
- The mobile trolley runs on an electrified rail (extra-low voltage) which ensures its power supply.
- The trolley has its own control electronics and operates autonomously. It is equipped with a rotation axis to orientate the product. Sensors are used to check the presence and locking of the product.
- The trolley communicates with the assembly line via a wireless system (supervision functions), and with each module via a serial infrared link.

BENEFITS
The use of mobile trolleys allows a great modularity of the line, which can easily be modified (moving, adding or removing modules). Several mobile trolleys can be used on a single line.
Once the product is installed on the trolley, it is physically linked to the trolley, and the identity of the trolley ensures traceability of the operations carried out on each product.
The infrared communication between the modules and the trolley is directive, which means that communication can only take place if one and only one trolley is present on the module. This principle ensures that the module communicates with the correct trolley (in the case where several trolleys are used on the same line).
