Animals growth follow-up uses an empirical approach (randomly weighing a small group). Our client asked us to think of a way to simplify this process.
Solution and result
LF Technologies has been studying test benches and special machines using force sensors for more than 20 years. In this extent, LF Technologies developed sensors, using electronic and software, very effective and economical.
LF Technologies proposed to weight the whole system instead of only a few animals. This allows greater follow-up and traceability. For this purpose, we developed a specific support with strength sensors, allowing in easier installation.
We conceived a module compatible with already existing cages and an easy installation.
That way, the weighing can be done without touching the animals.
